Business Podcast Blueprint | Pat Fenner

Business Podcast Blueprint

You’ve been thinking about starting a podcast.

Let’s turn “someday” into a show you’re actually ready to launch.

Pat recording podcast

Maybe you’ve had the idea for months—or even years. You know what you want to talk about. You have experience, stories, expertise, or a message you’d love to share.

But then come all the questions:

  • What exactly should my podcast be about?
  • Who am I really talking to?
  • What should my episodes cover?
  • How do I record and publish it?
  • How do I promote it once it’s out there?
  • And how do I keep this from becoming one more project I start and never finish?

That’s exactly what the Business Podcast Blueprint is designed to solve.

Get Started Now

Go From “I Want to Start a Podcast” to “I Have a Plan.”

The Business Podcast Blueprint is a guided, six-week program that takes you through the process of creating a podcast from the ground up—without having to piece everything together from YouTube videos, Google searches, and conflicting advice.

We’ll work through the strategy, content, identity, production, publishing, and promotion of your show so you understand not only how to create your podcast, but why you’re making the decisions you make.

By the end, you’ll have a podcast built around your goals—and a clear path for getting it into the world.

Is This You?

Wait—Not a business owner? Keep reading! This is for you, too.
  • You’ve been saying, “I’d love to start a podcast…” but you don’t know where to begin.
  • You have plenty of ideas, but you’re struggling to turn them into an actual show.
  • The technology feels intimidating—or you simply don’t want to waste hours figuring everything out yourself.
  • You’re worried you’ll run out of things to talk about after the first few episodes.
  • You’ve watched tutorials and read articles, but now you have more information and less clarity.

Or maybe you’re perfectly capable of figuring it all out yourself… but you know you’re much more likely to actually do it if you have a plan, guidance, feedback, and accountability.

This Isn’t Just for Business Podcasts

Despite the name, the Business Podcast Blueprint isn’t only for entrepreneurs.

If you own a business…

Your podcast can become a powerful extension of your marketing. Use it to:

  • Demonstrate your expertise
  • Educate potential clients
  • Build trust before someone ever contacts you
  • Create content that can be repurposed
  • Give prospective clients another way to discover you

Instead of constantly wondering, “What should I post this week?”, your podcast can become the centerpiece of your content strategy.

But maybe your podcast isn’t about your business at all.

A podcast can be the perfect vehicle for a passion project. Maybe you have a subject you can’t stop talking about, a community you want to serve, or a story you want to tell.

Real People. Real Podcast Possibilities.

Derek C.

"I hired Pat to teach me how to podcast and… her step by step process helped me launch my (passion) podcast. …Pat was very patient and informative."

~ Derek C.
Amy H.

"Pat has been amazing to work with not only on producing my podcast but also in helping me to create a strategy… She has taken me from having no idea what’s involved to having close to 60 episodes!"

~ Amy H.

And that’s an important part of the Blueprint: sometimes the process helps you discover what you want to create.

What We’ll Build Together

1. Build Your Foundation

Clarify your podcast’s purpose, audience, goals, and the role the show will play in your business—or your passion project.

2. Create Content That Has Somewhere to Go

Develop episode ideas and content themes so you’re not staring at a blank page every time it’s time to record.

3. Create Your Show Identity

Develop the pieces that make your podcast recognizable and inviting, including your show concept, positioning, description, and overall identity.

4. Make Recording & Production Simple

Learn a practical approach to recording your podcast without turning your office into a recording studio.

5. Prepare to Publish

Learn what goes into show notes, episode titles, podcast hosting, distribution, and the behind-the-scenes pieces.

6. Launch & Promote Your Podcast

Create a realistic plan for introducing your show to the world—and continuing to promote it after launch day.

Planning and workflow tools

You Won’t Just Learn. You’ll DO.

This isn’t a course you buy, watch three videos from, and then forget your password. The Business Podcast Blueprint combines instruction with implementation.

Each week, you’ll have specific work to complete for your podcast.

  • ✅ You’ll brainstorm.
  • ✅ You’ll make decisions.
  • ✅ You’ll create content.
  • ✅ You’ll practice recording.
  • ✅ You’ll get feedback.
  • And most importantly… you’ll keep moving forward.

The goal isn’t to make you an expert in podcast production. The goal is to help you become a podcaster.

Program Breakdown

What The Program Looks Like

6 weeks of guided podcast development.

Each week includes a 1-2-hour live working session, plus approximately 1–2 hours of independent work between sessions.

This is a Done-With-You experience. That means I’ll teach you the process, help you think through your decisions, answer questions, provide feedback, and keep you moving—but you’ll be building a podcast you understand and can continue managing after the program ends.

What’s NOT Included

The Blueprint is designed to teach and guide you, rather than provide ongoing production services. It does not include:

  • Ongoing audio or video editing
  • Done-for-you episode production
  • Custom branding or graphic design
  • Ongoing podcast management
  • Social media management

Need some of those things? We can talk about additional support options separately.

What You’ll Walk Away With

By the end of the Business Podcast Blueprint, you’ll have:

  • A clearly defined podcast concept and audience
  • Content themes and episode ideas
  • A podcast identity and show description
  • A manageable recording and production process
  • An understanding of podcast hosting and publishing
  • A promotion and launch strategy
  • Hands-on experience recording your podcast

And, most importantly: You’ll have a podcast that is no longer just an idea.

Ready and confident podcaster

You Don’t Need to Have It All Figured Out.

On Air sign

You don’t need a fancy microphone. You don’t need a studio. You don’t need 50 episode ideas. You don’t need thousands of followers.

And you definitely don’t need to understand every piece of podcast technology before you begin.

You need an idea, a reason to share it, and a plan for turning it into something real. That’s what we’ll create together.

Your Idea Deserves More Than “Someday.”

Whether you want to use a podcast to grow your business, establish yourself as an expert, educate your audience, explore something you love, or finally bring a passion project to life… Business Podcast Blueprint gives you the structure, strategy, guidance, and accountability to make it happen.

FAQs

Do I need to know my podcast topic already?

We can work on specifics together. But it would be helpful to have some idea!

Do I need equipment?

You can use whatever camera you use for your Zoom calls, or even your phone. And there are tools to help improve your audio if you don’t have a fancy camera.

Can I take this if my podcast isn’t for a business?

Yup - got a passion project? Or running a non-profit? Or just want a hobby? Check! Check! Check!

What if I’m not tech-savvy?

Take a deep breath, and if you’re open to learning…you can DO this!

How much time should I expect each week?

We’ll have a 1-2 hr class time each week, and depending on how much thought you’ve already given to this, it should take a few hours on your own after that. Most of the time during this course is given to laying a solid foundation!

Will my podcast actually be ready to launch?

If you complete the assignments each week - YES!

What happens after the six weeks?

You’re flying on your own! But I’ll be here if you have any questions. And if you want monthly coaching as you get started, that’s available, too.

I still have questions!

Grab some time on my calendar for a 30-minute Coffee Chat and ask away!
